Must be able to gain comprehensive knowledge of the overall operations and maintenance of a crude oil pipeline system and associated equipment, including, but not limited to: valves, meters, strainers, pressure gauges, temperature gauges, chemical injection, isolation, purging, venting, pipeline repairs, system shutdown and startup, cathodic protection, inspections, and spill response mitigation. Activities include performing facility inspections, ROW inspections, ROW maintenance, valves inspection/maintenance, meter run maintenance, valve operation, draining pipeline segments, verifying operating conditions (i.e., pressures, temperatures, volumes, cathodic protection, etc.).

Upon hiring, candidates may be required to successfully complete specific certifications and training courses within a designated timeframe, such as Defensive Driving, Company Online Installer, Pole Climbing, AK DOT Bucket Truck, and AK DOT approved Flagger Certification.
