Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position: the terminology, principles and practice of nutrition science; nutrition treatment techniques; chemistry, biochemistry, statistics, research methods, and other supporting nutrition sciences; understanding of the theories and concepts of preventative health care in a community or public health setting; understanding of the principles and techniques of effective communication and competency in interviewing and counseling patients.
