The Clinical Informatics Nurse supports the metaparadigm of nursing through information and data management, and works as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to processes, workflow, policies, and information systems that support clinical practice and operations. Working under the direction of the Director of Informatics, CNIO, the Clinical Informatics Nurse integrates nursing/clinical science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge and wisdom in clinical practice.
