Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* Experience and knowledge of the legislative process* Experience providing support and reports (verbal and written)* Ability to interface with professionals in the public or private sectors* Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication* Ability to represent the department in a clear, effective, and compelling manner* The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department staff and legislator staff* Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint)* Skilled in collecting, evaluating, and analyzing data relating to administrative functions such as budgeting, human resource management personnel, purchasing, or report writing.*
