p>High School diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized state or federal accrediting organization with a minimum of two years of experience in administrative and clinical support within an outpatient primary setting and a CCMA-Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Credential, AAMA-American Association of Medical Assistants, MedCa Medical Career Assessment, RMA/NCMA Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Credential, NCMA-National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) Credential, or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NCRMA) Credential. This includes but is not limited to: performing various laboratory tests, medication and immunization administration, supporting patients clinical appointments from access of care to discharge, ability to perform immunization compliance functions, follow blood-borne pathogen exposure protocols for students, documenting patient information clearly and accurately, and providing patient education on a wide variety of healthcare topics all within the scope of practice for a certified medical assistant.
