Critical Competencies: ā¢ Ownership of inventory management utilizing a Kanban system ā¢ Strong negotiation skills, including a sound understanding of commercial, regulatory, and intellectual property elements of a contract ā¢ Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and its application ā¢ Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills ā¢ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and managers, customers, and suppliers ā¢ Ability to partner with shop floor Supervision to execute continuous improvement. Professional Experience/Qualifications: ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field, or commensurate experience, required ā¢ Experience in Production Planning within a plant environment, required ā¢ Minimum 5 years of experience in a Material Manager/Supervisor role, required ā¢ Experience of Kanban process, preferred ā¢ Experience in managing suppliers of raw steel, castings, and ball bearings, preferred.
