Knowledge of basic landscaping techniques; Ability to follow routine instructions; Ability to work without supervision and complete tasks in a timely manner; Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; Ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and other departments; Ability to utilize current Parks and Recreation equipment, power tools, and other vehicles and/or items, effectively and safely, as needed to maintain the appearance of the City Parks and Recreation areas. The employee must frequently be able to use full range of physical effort to include lifting, carrying and positioning of objects up to 100 pounds in weight; prolonged work in tiring or uncomfortable positions; frequent bending, stooping, reaching, stretching and climbing; constant standing on hard surfaces.
