ul>Knowledge and understanding of safety equipment required for safe performance of duties, including but not limited to gloves, goggles, hardhats, arc flash suits, etc;
Knowledge and understanding of blueprints, specifications, schematics, O&M manuals;
Ability to operate variety of light trucks, bucket trucks and trailers;
Ability to use, multi-meter, megger, hi-pot tester, etc;
Working knowledge of motor control theory;
Skillful in the safe operation of powered electrical conduit threaders, cutters, benders, and wire pulling equipment;
Knowledge of various types of electric motors and motor control components;
Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams and ladder logic;
Ability to repair, troubleshoot, or install PA systems;
Ability to operate computers for data entry and word processing;
Strong verbal and written communication skill;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Performs the work in skilled and complex electrical installations and repairs; oversees and maintains electrical equipment at the water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and well fields; works with contractors on electrical projects; and occasionally assists other departments with their electrical needs.
