SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONUnder general supervision from assigned manager, performs duties related to the management, operation, activities, and services of the Community Safety Department; ensures the safety and security of the college community while adhering to the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility; performs safety and security functions, including active patrolling, response to incidents, and participating in the daily activities and operations of the District's safety and parking operations at all District locations and events; and performs duties relating to maintaining safety, enforcing established rules and regulations, and supporting persons in need of help. Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to change work locations rapidly; to work in field setting or travel to off-site setting; to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time; to frequently walk, run, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
