Connects with students, challenges them, and gives them confidence to succeed· Documents student meetings and communicates concerns through appropriate channels· Communicates effectively and in a timely manner· Meets with families about student progress, challenges, and areas of growth· Organizes, coordinates, and administers on-campus exams for students with accommodations· Demonstrates flexibility, resilience, and accountability· Helps develop and design professional development opportunities for faculty (which includes informal and ongoing daily training) on such topics as teaching to a range of students, assessment development, making use of evaluation information, and providing classroom intervention at the instructional level for struggling students· Serves as an advisor and performs all duties required by school advising system.· Job ResponsibilitiesIn conjunction with the other members of the learning services department:· Works closely with students, families, and teachers on grade level specific concerns· Works one-on-one and in small groups with students on executive function skills, study skills, work habits, etc.· Shares resource-based strategies for student support· Helps write Student Support Plans (SSPs) for students who have been tested by psychologists.
