Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: - BLS - NRP - Fetal Monitoring training Must-Have: - Charge experience - Labor and delivery experience, including the ability to labor and recover the mother - Ability to receive and transition the newborn, including assessment - Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies - Fetal monitoring education - Experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil) Description: The facility includes a total of 9 LDRP beds, 1 OBED bed, and 4 NICU beds along with 1 operating room suite. Patient ratios are as follows: 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections, 1:3 for couplet care, 1:1 until stable for newborns, and 1:3 for intermediate care in NICU.
