Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in recent acute care setting License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS, NRP, EFM training & AWHONN FHM preferred Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Experience in a team-based, high-acuity environment - Comfortable caring for 2 patients in Labor & Birth and 3-4 patients on Antepartum - Strong skills in fetal monitoring and interpretation - Ability to manage laboring patients, including high-risk obstetric cases - Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills - Experience with medication administration and IV therapy - Ability to respond to obstetric emergencies and rapid response situations Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery provides comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital setting. The RN collaborates closely with obstetric providers, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and evidence-based patient care throughout the labor and birth process.
