QCQA Manager II (Houston, TX) - Austin Commercial Austin Industries IncQCQA Manager II (Houston, TX) - Austin CommercialHouston, TXThis position contributes to the development and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.\n \nResponsibilities:\n \nImplements the Quality Control Program and supervises the Quality Control Engineers I & II\n \nDevelops Test/Inspection plans as per technical specifications and contract requirement\n \nSupervises the Quality Control staff including QA/QC Engineers I & II and the testing lab techs\n \nInterfaces with the Client/Architect on approval of the QA/QC Program and related matters for the implementation and execution of the QA/QC Program at the project site\n \nManages and spot checks field installations for compliance with contract documents Provides resolution of issues like punch list items and non-compliance issuances Provides a direct communication channel to the Project Director for concerns, observations, and good practices noted by Quality Control representatives Participates in pre-bid and pre-construction meetings to review and set quality expectations\n \nLeads and participates in pre-activity and weekly Quality Control meeting\n \nImplements Quality Control software like BIM 360 Field\n \nRequirements:\n\n Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Science, or related field\n 7-10 years' experience in a Quality Assurance/Control related role and experience developing and implementing Design/Construction Quality Programs\n Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment)\n Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to clearly communicate with clients and employees\n Ability to build and assist with leading high performing teams at the project and department levels\n Basic understanding of word, excel, CMIC, Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field\n Familiar with design & construction industry software\n Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
