Working in close coordination with UCSF departments, project managers, design consultants, vendors, and internal ITS teams, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer provides technical direction and construction oversight for all phases of infrastructure deployment-including low-voltage systems, copper and fiber cabling, endpoint, telephony, DaaS and health care modality installations. Proficiency in L2 protocols, including STP, DHCP, 802.1X, LACP, MLAG, VXLAN bridging, etc., along with addressing mechanisms (DNS, DHCP, IPAM, or similar), and practical experience with L1 technologies (SMF, MMF, DWDM, Transceivers, AOC, Twinax, Fiber fan-outs, or similar).
