Job duties and requirements include act as a subject matter expert (SME) for at least one area by proactively managing and designing systems to meet WakeMed's requirements and providing guidance and mentorship to peers, propose, design, implement, maintain, update, support, troubleshoot, and document solutions and technologies, proactively improve processes and reduce manual effort via optimization, automation, and scripting, forecast future system needs, optimizing system performance to maintain efficiency and scalability, make sure technologies are setup and operated reliably, efficiently, and securely, stay up to date with current and emerging technologies, and proactively propose or implement new ways to improve our service and environment, provide 2nd and 3rd tier support and participate in an on-call rotation, work with staff members, vendors, and others to resolve issues and assist with system setups and implementations, manage and lead internal projects, provide input to roadmaps and budget planning. Current supported technologies include Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams), Epic, Microsoft Active Directory and ADFS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, Imprivata SSO, PowerShell.
