Provide oversight and direction to the design team, Supervise, mentor, and evaluate mid-level and junior staff, Lead a team of experienced staff, promote staff development through training, mentoring, and career planning, Oversee/create surface models utilizing OpenRoads Designer, InRoads, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center and/or other similar design software, Lead interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure that project elements are compatible, Oversee/create preliminary design concepts and alternatives for highways and civil features to support cost estimating, Develop project communications and attend technical meetings, provide coordination to resolve design issues, Implement QA/QC procedures and support a culture of quality across project teams and disciplines, Prepare and implement quality management plans, Lead quality control reviews, comment resolution meetings, and verify corrections are completed, Manage scope, schedule and budget for the roadway design team, Execute final design of project elements such as roadway geometrics, roadway design plans, signing and marking plans, maintenance of traffic plans, wall plan and profile sheets, Design Exceptions, Design Deviations, and final Released for Construction (RFC) plans. You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the Design-Build/Alternative delivery of infrastructure projects.
