p>DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The Department of Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology (AEST), in the College of Science and Technology, is comprised of 10 faculty members, one full-time secretary, two full-time laboratory technicians, and over 400 students collectively majoring or minoring in Applied Engineering & Technology Management (APEM), Automation & Robotics Engineering Technology (AURO), Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MANE), Occupational Safety and Environmental Health (OCSE), and Technology and Engineering Education (TCEE).
EFFECTIVE TEACHING AND PERFORMANCE OF PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tenure Track faculty are responsible for effectively teaching students both in assigned courses and outside-the-classroom settings (e.g., student research, service learning, field activities and placements), advise students, and carry out other assigned professional responsibilities in support of student learning and success.
You will leverage your deep technical expertise, industry knowledge, and hands-on experience with leading OT/ICS security tools to deliver innovative solutions, lead project teams, and provide strategic guidance to clients. 4+ years of demonstrated experience designing and implementing OT/ICS security architectures and controls using tools such as Claroty, Palo Alto, Cradlepoint, CrowdStrike, BeyondTrust PRA, and familiarity with Cisco, ServiceNow, Splunk, and TxOne.
p>Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: - Demonstrated leadership, management, and influencing skills, with the ability to set direction, coach technical teams, and balance strategic priorities with tactical execution.
- Willingness and ability to support multiple platforms and critical project execution across CMG, S&R, Cocoa Science, Better for You, Salty, Strategic Growth Platforms, and Integrating Brands, including approximately 25% travel primarily within the U.S. and occasional international travel as needed.
li>Use computer for email, obtain information on websites, prepare class documents, grade papers, submit final grades online and other duties related to teaching and advising students and serving the department, college, university and community.
Teach courses face-to-face and online if necessary at the higher education level using lectures, demonstrations, class discussion, using online tools and/or equipment and/or other appropriate tools appropriate modes of education delivery.
