p>Identifies and implements best practices in graduate student education; stays abreast of national trends and emerging issues in academic services; develops and sustains strong collaborative relationships with the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of Instructional Development as necessary to ensure that graduate student needs impacting students' academic success are being appropriately addressed. Directly hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates the Associate Director for Academic Counseling who develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates a range of case management services for graduate students experiencing academic and personal difficulties, with an emphasis on identifying resources to address students' academic needs, also taking into consideration medical, psychological, social, and financial stressors.
