The Armed Public Safety Officer performs a variety of duties to ensure the welfare of patients, employees, and visitors; protects grounds, buildings, equipment and supplies of the hospital; makes decisions on the best way to obtain and maintain the security of the hospital, patients, employees and visitors within departmental and hospital guidelines. A minimum of one (1) year prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience carrying a sidearm required; or a minimum of one (1) year full-time/part-time or two (2) years per diem experience as an unarmed Public Safety Officer at L+M Hospital.
