Key Tasks: Operate, maintain, and repair packaging equipment as well as troubleshoot problems associated with equipment, process, or systems; Provide Leadership and direction to contractor employees on shift to ensure all work tasks are completed efficiently and safely according to Bayer policies; Perform mechanical maintenance and preventative maintenance on packaging equipment; Complete equipment repair notifications and work directly with Maintenance Technicians on any repairs requiring their assistance; Document actions and adjustments during shift to ensure a complete and safe shift exchange; Document and complete safety, quality, environmental, and inventory control reports; Conduct equipment isolations and issue work permits to contractors and maintenance and monitor progress through completion of work; Assist in preparation, review, and approval of key process documentation (i.e., operating, cleanout, start up, shutdown procedures, process flow and instrumentation diagrams;). Preferred Qualification: Two years of manufacturing, agriculture operations experience, Military, or similar experience; Ability to use information technology systems and applications; Forklift operation; Ability to use various hand tools; One year operating/repairing packaging equipment or related equipment; Ability to troubleshoot and complete mechanical repairs or preventive maintenance on equipment; Operate Computer Control Systems (PLC & Delta V;).
