The contract Sterile Processing Technician shall perform essentially the same duties as those required of any military operating room technicians or Government Civil Service Sterile Processing Technician of similar experience and in similar duty assignments.- Instrument decontamination, assembly and sterilization of the following surgical specialties: general surgery, robotics, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, urology,ophthalmology, ENT, OB/GYN, OMFS, vascular and orthopedic surgery. The contractors shallassist in training staff members and 68D in the operation of sterile processing equipment,handling and assembling instruments and sets, procedures for decontamination, assembly,and sterilization of equipment and instruments.
