General Parts Service Technicians are encouraged to pursue CFESA training certifications, and many hold a ‘Master Certification’ designation, the highest level of achievement.
Technicians are assigned to a location within the field that modifies and repairs mechanical and electrical processes of the ESS, do the commission work and follows documentation pertaining to their assigned station in their department. Completes the "make-ready" process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a "punch" list of maintenance work needed, scheduling vendors and contractors as needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, completing all maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work. Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property's maintenance department by tracking inventory used, returning unused items to the established location, and notifying the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
You'll also have the opportunity to interface directly with customers, driving a company vehicle to various job sites, and assisting in multiple projects daily. The Role: As a Service Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Service Foreman and delivering top-notch service to our clients.
This position is an hourly role that requires working outside in extreme environments, working at heights, and prolonged periods of repetitious duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Ability to safely handle power tools, hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
