Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills • Follows instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions, completes tasks on time or communicates alternate plans • Treats people with respect; keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational values • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy • Must be customer focused and represent Carlile in a professional and friendly manner • Should have a mechanical aptitude • Must be able to prioritize daily tasks and assignments • Must be able to multitask and have excellent time management skills • Must be able to drive in adverse weather conditions and in ice and snow, with the ability to chain-up • Experience with lift gates, forklifts, and pallet jacks, preferred • Previous material handling and HAZMAT experience. • Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures • Conducts thorough pre-trip, mid-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles being operated, in accordance with established company policies and procedures, reporting discrepancies immediately • Load/unload trucks and containers, lift materials, and identify, label, count, receive, and issue freight • Ensure that cargo is secured for transport in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws • Operates a box truck in order to pick up and deliver customer freight in a variety of locations.
