Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand for long periods of time, and use his/her hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools or controls; the employee must frequently walk, talk, or hear, and reach with his/her arms including periodic stretching; the employee must be able to lift 50 pounds at least once per shift; the employee must be able to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead racks and storage areas, sweep and mop floors, and carry out the trash; the employee must have sufficient physical ability to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies such as clean up requests for due to accidental spillage or breakage of glass; the employee must be able to tolerate dust, chemical fumes from common household cleaning agents such as ammonia during routine housekeeping duties; must be able to tolerate temperature changes in both heated cooking areas and refrigerated storage areas for 20 minutes at a time. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Heat soup and display, prepare back up soups, clean, fill, flip salad bar and rotate, take out frozen items from freezer for salad bar use, prepare lettuce and tomatoes for deli daily use, open canned products for the salad bar, get supplies needed for the soup and salad bar, wash salad bar dishes and containers, fill olive bar, throw away empty buckets of olives, organize and clean olive and produce shelves in the walk-in refrigerator, fill and clean salad bar, make any orders with Manager in items from salad bar before the end of shift.
