ul>Identify and collect building component data on systems installed at District sites⢠Use tablets, laptops, smartphones, and other digital tools to enter field data⢠Apply construction knowledge to identify systems hidden behind walls, ceilings, and floors⢠Assess the overall condition and remaining service life of building system components⢠Follow direction and guidance from LAUSD FCA Unit leadership when determining Remaining Service Life values⢠Work collaboratively with other trade surveyors to gather quantities, measurements, and field information⢠Conduct and support ad hoc surveys related to District sites and buildings as needed⢠Support field survey activities across active District facilities⢠May supervise staff or survey participants as needed⢠Serve as a resource to staff during field assessment activities. - 6 or more years of full-time paid professional experience working with on-site construction management teams⢠Experience working with campus administrators, faculty, staff, and field teams⢠Strong knowledge of building construction, carpentry systems, and existing building conditions⢠Ability to identify building systems hidden behind walls, ceilings, and floors⢠Experience assessing building component condition and remaining service life⢠Ability to collect and document field data using tablets, laptops, smartphones, and other computer-based tools⢠Strong communication, organization, and field documentation skills⢠Ability to work collaboratively with other trade surveyors and District personnel⢠Ability to support ad hoc surveys related to District sites and buildings as needed.
