ul>Identify and collect building component data on systems installed at District sitesā¢ Use tablets, laptops, smartphones, and other digital tools to enter field dataā¢ Apply construction knowledge to identify systems hidden behind walls, ceilings, and floorsā¢ Assess the overall condition and remaining service life of building system componentsā¢ Follow direction and guidance from LAUSD FCA Unit leadership when determining Remaining Service Life valuesā¢ Work collaboratively with other trade surveyors to gather quantities, measurements, and field informationā¢ Conduct and support ad hoc surveys related to District sites and buildings as neededā¢ Support field survey activities across active District facilitiesā¢ May supervise staff or survey participants as neededā¢ Serve as a resource to staff during field assessment activities. - 6 or more years of full-time paid professional experience working with on-site construction management teamsā¢ Experience working with campus administrators, faculty, staff, and field teamsā¢ Strong knowledge of building construction, carpentry systems, and existing building conditionsā¢ Ability to identify building systems hidden behind walls, ceilings, and floorsā¢ Experience assessing building component condition and remaining service lifeā¢ Ability to collect and document field data using tablets, laptops, smartphones, and other computer-based toolsā¢ Strong communication, organization, and field documentation skillsā¢ Ability to work collaboratively with other trade surveyors and District personnelā¢ Ability to support ad hoc surveys related to District sites and buildings as needed.
