CYB-MFLC responsibilities include:
- Work at installation Child Development Centers (CDCs) with children 0-5, before or after-school care centers for school-aged children, youth and teens on educational activities and appropriate developmental focus.
Examples of typical strenuous activity, include frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 100 pounds., carrying and rolling rocks and logs, moving rocks of several tons with rock bars, using hammers to crush or shape rock, and using shovels extensively; frequently walks up to 20 miles daily; and must not have potential emergency medical problems that could complicate work in remote areas for extended periods of time. Advanced MFTs can be assigned as the sole licensed mental health provider in settings such as CBOCs or satellite outpatient clinics or have responsibility and oversight for a MFT training program established under VA/VHA training policy as well as provide systemic clinical supervision to those MFT interns. Primary Care-Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) Duties:
- Provides functional assessment, triage, brief intervention, education and consultative services regarding a wide range of mental health and behavioral medicine concerns, on referral from primary care providers and allied PACT members.
This position consults with and provides professional development to school staff, facilitates schools and families with transitioning children into elementary, middle or high schools, offers parenting classes when requested, supports communication and two-way engagement between the district and families when appropriate, and works with community organizations to strengthen family engagement. Applies deep content knowledge and relevant expertise to school projects and general operations; collaborates with principals in specific areas of focus and helps build instructional competency among staff.
