$200,000 - $350,000 a year
p>The primary purpose of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the Department of General Internal Medicine, Consultative Medicine Section, is to promote and maintain the health of GIM patients across the care continuum throughout the institution supporting the outpatient clinics, inpatient consult service and as an acute response provider to patients in the Ambulatory Treatment Center (ATC). This individual demonstrates clinical excellence in assessing and managing complex chronic conditions and common acute or episodic illnesses, including complications related to chemotherapy and care of acutely ill hospitalized surgical patients, while communicating clearly and effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.

The Inpatient Hematology APP will provide advanced clinical care for hospitalized patients with hematologic disorders in collaboration with attending hematologists, hematology-oncology fellows, and the multidisciplinary inpatient care team. The Department of Internal Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology is seeking a qualified candidate for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position in an inpatient hematology role at the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center.
In addition, the ideal candidate supports administrative and documentation processes, maintains accurate medical records, assists with referrals and follow-up care, and demonstrates interest in clinical research, protocol development, and applying evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes in oncology infectious disease care. The ideal Advanced Practice Provider will be a compassionate, detail-oriented advanced practice provider who thrives in a collaborative, academic medical environment and is committed to delivering high-quality infectious disease care to adult and pediatric oncology patients.
