Preference is given to: Students who have qualified for Federal Work-Study and accepted their financial aid package Majors/minors in modern languages, international studies, area studies, or students who speak languages other than English Job Functions & Responsibilities Support Modern Languages & Cultures (MLC) faculty, staff, and students and promote language learning, especially computer-assisted language study Demonstrate strong technology skills and a willingness to develop additional skills related to language-learning technologies Create and post flyers, posters, handouts, and digital content to promote MLC programs Maintain printers, computers, and other technology to ensure smooth operation Assist with general business operations related to assigned areas Deliver excellent customer service to all visitors Prioritize tasks, take initiative, and work independently when needed Assist with various projects, activities, and operational tasks as assigned Adhere to all University policies and procedures In a student employee capacity, may perform or assist with specialized business or operational functions that contribute to departmental goals and initiatives.
