li>Works in conjunction with the Finance, Legal and Procurement department to ensure timely completion of contracts, purchase orders, and final invoice payments; Ensures that projects meet NOLA-PS Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals; Ensures proper and ongoing communication with schools receiving capital and major repairs; Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, district policies and regulations related to all construction projects; Supervises the daily management of the Director of Capital Planning, Capital Project Managers and Capital Project Inspector; Collaborates with the Executive Director of Facilities for all facility emergencies and emergency preparedness needs; Performs other duties as required.
- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) part of the workday;
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 30 pounds rarely;
- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals) rarely;
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely;
- Normal setting for this job is an office/school setting.
