p>Experience designing electronics for optoelectronic instruments, optical detection systems, and mixed-signal architectures Experienced with thermal detectors, MCT (Mercury Cadmium Telluride) sensors, thermoelectric coolers, near/mid IR filters, interferometers, optics, and mirrors used in NDIR and FTIR spectroscopy Understanding of vacuum system infrastructure including MFCs, pressure controllers, and vacuum pumps Skilled with the design and test of complex hardware/embedded software systems that begin with proper scope, requirements reviews, and developing the concepts necessary for operation Experienced in the development and testing of system integration & DVT plans Strong technical communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills Experience with Failure Analysis (FMEA). You Will Make an Impact By:
• Work as the lead of a technical team responsible for the design, modeling, testing, and packaging of highly complex electro-mechanical components and systems • Understands the characteristics and improvements of the developed product, develops test methods by using engineering backgrounds including development software/firmware functions, and realize them experimentally • Create system level engineering design specifications and project scope documents • Serve as the primary technical liaison for electronics vendors, including defining requirements for externally sourced electronic assemblies • Develop, document, and execute design verification plans.
