Passing on to other Electricians the instructions received from the Supervisor; Working along with other Electricians and setting the pace; seeing to it that needed plans, blueprints, materials and tools are available and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations; Obtaining needed information or decisions from the Supervisor on problems that come up during the work; Retaining a current knowledge and answering questions of other Electricians on procedures, policies, written instructions and other directives, i.e., technical orders, training requirements; Adjusting workloads so there is enough work to keep everyone in the work crew busy; Checking work while in progress and when finished to see whether the Supervisor instructions on work sequences, procedures, methods and deadlines have been met; urging or advising other Electricians to follow instructions received from the Supervisor and to meet deadlines; Assuring that safety and housekeeping rules are followed, i.e., assuring that limits of safe machine operation are not exceeded and that all tools are used and stored properly; Scheduling and meeting with contractors for assigned projects; answering questions of the Supervisor on overall work operations and problems, i.e., concerning additional on-the-job training requirements for individual employees. Makes visual, audible and mechanical checks for the proper temperatures of conditioned spaces, the proper operation of different parts of the cycle; proper oil levels, unusual noises, overheated bearings, loose connections; faulty insulation, frayed or loose belts, gaskets and pulleys and other similar defects.
