Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support central plant and building electrical systems. You will assess existing systems, recommend improvements, and support projects that enhance building operations and energy resilience.

ul>Leads work on multiple projects with a team of design colleagues to conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects for multiple types of facilities such as healthcare, commercial offices, higher education, research laboratory, and industrial facilities. Acts as a resource for staff to all levels in any area of technical expertise and works with staff to train them on applicable knowledge of electrical / building codes, field work, and the processes associated with designing electrical systems.
p>· 10+ years of experience in design and specification of: lighting systems, power systems, fire alarm systems, telcom/data systems, medium voltage power systems, UPS systems, emergency generator systems, grounding systems, and utility systems. Typical duties that the Senior Electrical Engineer will be expected to perform will include writing technical reports, performing calculations, selecting equipment, and designing lighting, power, fire alarm, security and telcom/data systems.
li>The work may include base building and tenant interior systems on commercial, retail, mixed-use, residential, hotel, transportation, education, and various other types of projects such as microgrids, EV Charging Stations, Fault Current and Arc Flash Studies, and Battery Energy Storage Systems. - Duties will include design, drawing production, building information modeling (BIM), specification writing, discipline coordination between the various trades, shop drawing and submittal reviews, construction site reviews, and code reviews for MEP systems for Dewberry projects.

The new Engineer will work with a team of engineers and technicians to monitor, troubleshoot and maintain these systems to ensure optimal performance, and investigate new approaches to time transfer as well as improvements to existing TWSTT and FTT techniques. The new Electrical Engineer will work closely with other CPI contractors and civilian members of the Precise Time Department, providing periodic updates to the Coordinated Time Transfer division chief.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with power distribution systems throughout the design and operations lifecycle, have field experience in maintaining electrical systems, and be hungry to apply all facets of this expertise across the spectrum of high-density data center infrastructure. li>Specified academic courses -- Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A. The courses must be fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of an engineering program as described in paragraph A.
Related curriculum -- Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelors degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.
Specialized Experience* may include but not limited to:experience designing, interpreting and justifying electrical system designs, plans, drawings and schematics to meet agency/local building codes; conducting technical research and development of electrical propulsion and electrical systems in aviation or similar systems; experience planning, executing, and monitoring complex technical programs that have area-wide impact; and assessing the interoperability of electrical systems as they relate to buildings, computer systems, and electronic equipment.
