Position Responsibilities: <ul><li>Teach private and group lessons using Northwest School of Music's approved curriculum </li><li>Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere </li><li>Assess student's readiness for additional classes or instruments </li><li>Basic equipment repair as needed </li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>Demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts effectively to students </li><li>Advanced understanding of technique and music theory relevant to primary instrument </li><li>Time management to keep students on task in lessons </li><li>Comfortable in fast-paced environments with a variety of personalities </li><li>Experienced performer (either solo or group) </li><li>Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians </li><li>Ability to interact effectively with both children and adults </li><li>Ability to pass a background check </li></ul>Northwest School of Music offers the opportunity to work a flexible part time schedule in a fun environment with other like minded musicians.
