li>An employee in this class is responsible for teaching health, safety and physical education and for developing in each student an understanding of the relationship of a healthy body and exercise; for motivating each student to become physically fit, develop good hygienic habits, safety skills and good social and emotional adjustment; for discovering and developing talents of students physical achievement; for developing strength and skill, agility, poise and coordination in individual, dual and team sports in accordance with each student's ability. Extensive standing/walking, running, sitting, lifting up to 40 pounds, repetitive hand movements (including simple grasping, pushing/pulling, fine manipulation), repetitive foot movements, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing and reaching.
