Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local compliance regulations; Extensive knowledge of best practices in special education and the development of young children; Extensive knowledge of the Every Child Accountability & Tracking System (ECATS); Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point; Google Apps; Demonstrated leadership and team building skills; Critical thinking and problem solving skills; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback; Ability to work independently and complete tasks in the absence of clear direction; Ability to organize information pulled from multiple sources; Ability to design and deliver professional development; Ability to evaluate trainings and professional development to ensure topics and information are being implemented; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, students, parents, external agencies, and the community. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in early childhood education, special education, or related field; Five years of experience teaching young children; Experience in designing and delivering professional development to adult learners; Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
