Qualifications: • Valid Wisconsin DPI licensure as a Director of Pupil Services or Supervisor of Special Education, as required by state law • A minimum of a master's degree in special education, educational administration, pupil services, or a related field • At least two years of successful professional experience in special education or a related area • Demonstrated knowledge of Wisconsin PI 11 and IDEA, including state and federal requirements governing special education • Knowledge of and experience in the supervision, support, and evaluation of licensed and non-licensed staff • Knowledge of and experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation • Understanding of effective instructional practices and the teaching and learning process • Experience supporting the development and maintenance of a positive, inclusive school climate • Commitment to ongoing professional learning to maintain current knowledge and skills in pupil services and special education. Coordinate and provide professional development opportunities for special education staff, related service providers, general education staff, district personnel, parents/guardians, and community partners.
