Other key responsibilities include: Planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of the Finance Department by developing and implementing City guidelines, maintaining the City's financial records, preparing reports and revenue forecasts, conducting cost studies, developing policies, preparing financial plans, processing accounts, and maintaining an interface with department systems. Reporting to a Deputy City Manager, the Finance Director plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises the activities of the Finance Department functions including, Accounting, Budget, Procurement, Utilities, and Community Facilities District (CFD) Administration.
