The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and administrative leadership for a comprehensive and dynamic department, guiding its next phase by assessing program strengths and opportunities, establishing clear priorities, strengthening alignment across the Commerce and Dallas locations, supporting faculty and student success, and building key regional partnerships. This position collaborates closely with campus partners to maintain a seamless residential experience, ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, and use data-informed decision-making to strengthen residential environments that promote student learning, engagement, and well-being. State-of-the-Art Facilities: Work in advanced facilities such as the 113,470-square-foot Nursing and Health Sciences Building, featuring a state-of-the-art simulation hospital and a 1,300-acre agricultural research farm.

This position plays a critical role in advancing East Texas A&M University’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and the University Strategic Plan related to Career Readiness, ensuring students have meaningful opportunities to engage with employers and secure career pathways. The role oversees employer engagement initiatives, including career fairs, networking events, on-campus interviews, and recruitment partnerships, while ensuring employers have a positive and effective recruiting experience.

Assistant Director of Employer Engagement

This position plays a critical role in advancing East Texas A&M University's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and the University Strategic Plan related to Career Readiness, ensuring students have meaningful opportunities to engage with employers and secure career pathways. The role oversees employer engagement initiatives, including career fairs, networking events, on-campus interviews, and recruitment partnerships, while ensuring employers have a positive and effective recruiting experience.

Monitors radio traffic, answers incoming phone calls (including emergency and non-emergency calls), dispatches officers to calls; maintains a handwritten and computer log of all officer activities; enters information into the computer record-keeping system and prints needed paperwork for officers in a timely manner. Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Six months experience as a Police Department Communications Officer, law enforcement dispatch, or relevant administrative experience (answering incoming calls, data entry, customer service and information gathering) .
