Job Responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and preparation of pro-forma financial information ā¢ Provide technical expertise for US GAAP and SEC requirements including accounting research, documentation, and presentation to clients ā¢ Prepare accurate external financial reports to client, auditors, or the SEC, including the preparation, review, submission, and distribution of periodic financial reports, such as 10-K, 10-Q, 8K's and proxy statements ā¢ Assist in the in the design and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures ā¢ Assess and improve financial accounting close process, including accelerating and streamlining monthly and quarterly reporting processes ā¢ Liaison on behalf of the client with external auditors and internal decision makers to assist with Audit preparation ā¢ Assist with Cash to Accrual Accounting after a transaction, Opening Balance Sheet preparation and Purchase Accounting ā¢ Oversee and execute on A+ client delivery; Execute services and deliverables around Operational and Technical Accounting ā¢ Lead, mentor and professionally develop CFO Advisory team members, actively participating in the career advisory and performance review process ā¢ Build team culture and environment for scaling a hyper-growth consulting business ā¢ Cultivate relationships with senior executives at client companies and private equity sponsors. ā¢ BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business-related field or relevant work experience is required ā¢ Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience working in a client serving role at a top-tier public accounting or financial advisory firm, and/or private industry experience at a senior level ā¢ Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills ā¢ A strong and up-to-date knowledge of US GAAP (exposure to IFRS is a plus), with deep technical understanding of topics such as ASC 606 revenue recognition, lease transactions, purchase accounting, etc. and experience within the technical accounting or SEC reporting team of a company is a plus ā¢ Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, management, analytical, decision-making and research skills ā¢ Proven experience successfully managing multiple complex projects at the same time, managing not only client/sponsor dynamics but internal team dynamics as well ā¢ Able to effectively communicate complex issues and solutions ā¢ Full of entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable in a fluid, flat organization.
