Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field Required Skills for the Cooling Design Engineer:- 3-4 years’ experience required- Knowledge of cooling systems technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges- Intermediate knowledge of a cooling component/system development lifecycle: from customer engagement, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to design development, testing and product delivery- Intermediate ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues- Basic knowledge of thermodynamics, thermal simulation and structural analysis- High knowledge of Creo 3D modeling tools, Teamcenter processes and print creation/releasing- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills- High ability to work independently and manage one’s timePreferred Skills:- Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocationCooling Design Engineer Overview:The main function of a Cooling Design Engineer is to apply the principles of mechanical engineering design, development, testing, and evaluation of the hardware and systems that make cooling systems work.
