p>Independent action(s) required: Performs the following for patients with mild to moderately complex communications and/or swallowing disorders: schedule frequency and intensity of therapy; select assessment instruments and administer assessment; interpret results; complete documentation; plan and carry out treatment strategies; develop long- and short-term goals; perform patient/family/staff education; report at patient/family/team conferences; and terminate therapy when appropriate.
Supervisor or SLP II or higher provides advice/guidance/training regarding clinical skills, professional practice, ethical behaviors, billing, caseload management, educational opportunities, documentation and patient care for patient issues or when requested by staff.
