p>Duties include, but are not limited to: Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums; treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting oral hygiene and retention of teeth; fit dental appliances or provide preventive care to dental clinic patients; maintain dental records; review and notify patients of diagnostic test and consultation results; and respond to patient care tasks and phone calls consistent with good dental practice.
1-2 dental assistants per dentist Patients are assigned to individual dentists to allow for continuity of care Other dentist(s) in the office to allow for treatment collaboration and mentorship Wide variety of procedures completed in-office (composites, amalgams, dentures, partials, extractions, crown and bridge, endo, etc.) Medical clinic, behavioral health and pharmacy on site, including clinical pharmacist.
