In collaboration with supervisor, develop partnership with schools, senior centers, senior housing facilities, and other volunteer placement sites to identify a site supervisor for volunteers at the site, train site supervisors on AmeriCorps Seniors program, and ensure the placement is set up for volunteers. There are two main service types: Elder Mentor-volunteering in schools or Head Starts as a mentor, tutor, or culture bearer; Senior Companion- volunteers other home-bound older adults who need extra assistance in companionship, transportation or respite services.
