ul>Follow a consistent and regular schedule to perform various types of maintenance on HVAC equipment, generators and various pieces of electrical distribution, cable and transformers at the shop and job sites. Additionally, the technician will safely transport and handle HVAC units and generators, communicate effectively with customers and team members, and maintain organized service records.
p>The Field Service Technician is primarily responsible for scheduled and remedial (break-fix) service on Small to Medium UPS, Power Distribution Units & Battery system products (2-120KVA) serviced by Vertiv, commensurate with appropriate classroom and on-the-job training. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing duties of the above jobs, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or other components; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell.
Supporting equipment installation, start-up and commissioning efforts, troubleshooting and repair of power distribution equipment and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing staff to upgrade, modify or configure installed equipment. Complete field technical reports, update safety documents, documents quality findings and resolutions utilizing company and customer computer maintenance management systems.
