The staff physical therapist assistant assumes the responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and provides physical therapy modalities, treatment procedures, and wound care, including the application of topical medications, as determined by a treatment plan established by a physical therapist and in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures; maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.
