Providers can expect a mix of scheduled appointments and walk-in visits while working collaboratively with an experienced onsite support team that includes a Medical Assistant and RN Health Center Manager. Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
This position serves as a key point of coordination for instructional programs, district initiatives, leadership meetings, communication, budgeting, and project management to ensure the efficient operation of the department and alignment with district priorities. The Administrative Assistant to the Chief Academic Officer provides high-level administrative, organizational, and operational support to the Chief Academic Officer and the Academic Services Division.
Assignments at this level include, but are not limited to: scheduling, canceling, re-scheduling patient appointments and/or consults; entering no-show information; monitoring appointment requests from multiple electronic sources; participating in huddles with other MSAs and/or clinic staff to determine the daily needs of the clinic, monitoring both inpatient and outpatient appointments in areas of responsibility; verifying and updating demographics and insurance information when patients check-in for appointments. The Advanced MSA works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model (i.e. PACT, Specialty Clinics, Mental Health) and performs receptionist duties, customer service and other duties assigned for the proper and timely treatment of patients and maintains appointment schedules for one or more outpatient clinics.
