This position ensures that all areas are sanitary, safe, and welcoming to the public. Open, close, and secure park restrooms and recreation facilities according to established schedules. Perform routine custodial tasks including cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking restrooms, recreation centers, and other facilities. Clean and maintain floors, sinks, toilets, showers, mirrors, and other surfaces using appropriate custodial tools and chemicals. Monitor and maintain order, cleanliness, and safety in assigned park areas, reporting hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors. Perform light maintenance tasks, such as picking up litter, watering grass and flowers or other light maintenance work. Set up and take down chairs, tables, and other equipment for events or programs in recreation centers. May work evenings, weekends as required. Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment when handling chemicals and custodial equipment. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy. Performs other related duties as assigned in support of Parks and Recreation Department operations.Qualifications: Valid Texas Driver's License and a good driving record.
