p>Requirements: • LADC or UMICAD licensure • Bachelors degree in behavioral health, counseling, social work, or a related field strongly preferred • 1-2 years of experience in substance abuse treatment, SBIRT, and counseling, with a preference for experience in Native American communities or culturally diverse settings • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in substance abuse treatment and the SBIRT model • Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by Native American populations regarding substance abuse and recovery • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues • Proficiency in documenting client information accurately and efficiently • Cultural humility and sensitivity to work effectively with diverse populations. As an SBIRT Chemical Health Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) assessments within NACCs dosing and office based MOUD programs, providing vital support to individuals seeking substance abuse treatment and recovery services.
