Type: Contract Job Title: Controls Technician III Location: Wilmington, NC Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NC Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline Key Responsibilities ⢠Provide technical support for manufacturing systems computers and automation equipment ⢠Troubleshoot Windows-based production PCs and industrial hardware ⢠Support touchscreens, barcode readers, thermal printers, RFID systems, and related peripherals ⢠Perform imaging, setup, deployment, and maintenance of production computer systems ⢠Read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams ⢠Troubleshoot low-voltage control systems including analog, digital, and thermocouple circuits ⢠Assist engineering teams with production support and process optimization initiatives ⢠Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement efforts ⢠Maintain reliable operation of automated control systems within a 24/7 manufacturing environment ⢠Provide point-to-point troubleshooting and support for connected production equipment Required Qualifications ⢠1-3 years of experience in PC hardware or industrial equipment troubleshooting ⢠Experience supporting Windows PC systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment ⢠Ability to read schematics and technical drawings ⢠Knowledge of industrial peripherals including thermal printers and barcode readers ⢠Familiarity with low-voltage controls and automation systems ⢠General understanding of network switch operations ⢠Strong troubleshooting and communication skills ⢠Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment Preferred Skills ⢠Experience with RFID systems ⢠Knowledge of industrial automation interfaces and user systems ⢠Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations Additional Information ⢠No third party resumes will be accepted ⢠Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted ⢠CTG will consider for employment-qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
