Laborer - Construction

When assigned to Water Distribution, performs assistive and/or basic utility maintenance duties including cleaning and maintaining pumping stations, checking and replacing pump lubrication and packing, cleaning and replacing filters, reading, testing, installing, repairing, cleaning, opening, closing, and replacing curb stops, manholes, pipelines, fire hydrants, valves, meters, meter vaults and boxes, pumps, and other related equipment. When assigned to Wastewater Collection, inspects, cleans, and repairs sewage and storm lifts stations, wastewater and stormwater manholes, mains, lines, and laterals; cuts and removes roots from sewer mains using jet/vac trucks, cutting nozzles, and other types of equipment as assigned.
